He has played bad boy Martin 'Ash' Ashford on Home And Away since 2014.
But after more than three years on the long-running Channel Seven drama George Mason is set to leave, reported The Daily Telegraph on Thursday.
According to the publication, the actor has already wrapped filming on the show.
While details of George's final scenes are not yet known, Confidential reported that long-haired blond has moved back to his native New Zealand.
The Kiwi-born actor has returned to his homeland to star in a new movie called Daffodils, which is based on a stage play.
Before landing the role on Home and Away, George was known in New Zealand thanks to a stint on popular soap Shortland St.
George's character Ash was first introduced at the end of the tenure of popular character Darryl 'Brax' Braxton (played by Stephen Peacocke) in 2014.
As the new 'bad boy' in Summer Bay, Ash found himself caught up in many dramatic storylines, such as illegal activities and steamy romances.
Ash was romantically linked to Kat Chapman (Pia Miller) and in a recent heartwrenching plotline suffered through her death as well as their unborn child following a fatal car crash.
In his personal life, George is enjoying a happier love life than his fictional alter ego.
The actor is engaged to French model Manon Buchalet, with the pair often looking loved-up on social media together.
George is expected to continue to be seen on Home and Away until mid-2018.
