Katy Perry is being slammed for this comment about Meghan Markle

Katy Perry has quickly learnt to not diss the new Duchess of Sussex.

The singer wasn't too complimentary when speaking about Meghan Markle's wedding dress, igniting a social media slaying of Katy. 

Talking about the dress to Entertainment Tonight, Katy said it needed “one more fitting”. 

Comparing it to Duchess Kate's dress, she said “Kate won! Kate won! I’m sorry! I’m never not going to tell the truth! One more fitting! But I love you!”.

Katy followed this by compliments of the new Royal, saying “I don’t know much about her, but what I’ve seen or heard, whether it’s been true or false, everything to me, it sounds amazing, and I’m so happy for them.

“It’s amazing what she’s doing … her humanitarian efforts, you know, the fact that she’s a proud feminist. I love all that. So I support her as another woman and love her and wish them both well.”
